Our Investment in Docalytics

Have you ever hosted a document on your website and wondered, “I wish I knew who exactly was downloading this?” Or, “I wonder what that prospective customer’s experience was with that document and how could I make it better?” Millions of businesses and marketers host documents on their websites to obtain sales leads but do not know WHO is downloading the document and WHAT that potential sales lead did after downloading the document.  This results in ineffective marketing documents and lost sales.

This is where Docalytics‘ cloud-based platform fits in, by providing document hosting and content analytics to help thought leaders and online marketers create better documents, capture more qualified leads, and, most importantly, convert prospects into customers.

Evan Carothers, CEO and Founder of Docalytics, is a rare breed. He brings to the table hardcore programming skills, a designer mindset, and all the leadership skills we look for in a startup team…much less, in an individual. He brought Docalytics to the Startup Weekend event in the Twin Cities and has since formed a skills-based team around him.  This has since developed it into a full-fledged business in just over a year. Very impressive.

We are excited to be co-investing in Docalytics alongside CSA Partners of Milwaukee, WI. We both agree that Docalytics is addressing a clear market need for customers, has a highly functional product, and a solid leadership team. The team’s ability thus far to develop a viable product, listen to customer’s demands, and pivot as necessary has been essential in their development thus far. If they keep up this pace of development and user acquisition, Docalytics will be well positioned in the marketing automation/analytics market for serious growth.

Docalytics has strong Twin Cities roots and Ryan learned about them through the Gener8tor accelerator program. After a couple intro meetings in the Twin Cities, there was a clear fit and Confluence Capital is excited to partner with Docalytics to help them grow.

Welcome Evan, Steve, and Ryan to the Confluence Crew!
